long ago before the people of earth lost their civility, their compassion, their servitude
the jesters made us laugh
at ourselves
the ancient songs and story tellers entertained at the foot an enchanted gypsy fire by the light of a tallow torch
it’s funny
because it’s gone
so gone
the old ways, the wisdom, the hard work
replaced by lazy donkeys only interested in the images on a phone and never buy, or own or read an actual book
so serious and easily offended
leaving the home ready for a insult
everywhere
it’s funny
or is it?
endless chatter resulting in nothing
that lasts or makes us laugh
I long for a new generation of jesters
that makes me laugh
and that’s funny
